Drink of the Day: Screwdriver With Sherry

On the surface, it would seem to be easy to describe the Screwdriver With Sherry. It's a Screwdriver, with sherry added. What more can I say?

But it's a blended drink, so it's slightly different from what you would expect of a traditional screwdriver. And if you haven't tried olorosso sherry (recall I introduced you to it here), the flavor that dominates this variation, you can't really understand what this cocktail tastes like. One turnoff is the drink's appearance; the combination of ferocious blending and the color of the sherry gives it a sludgy look, to be charitable.

But it's always intriguing to try a variation on a classic, and in that sense, the Screwdriver With Sherry is a useful cocktail.
